The Alum Rock Women and Children's Center has been successfully operating in San Jose since 1971. This residential recovery center is for single women, pregnant women, and women with children.  This is one of the only Teen Challenge Women's Center's in the U.S. where children can stay with their mother during rehabilitation, rather than being placed in foster homes.  The center is located at 4601 Alum Rock Avenue, San Jose and houses 19 women and their children.
