The Comforter In order to meander through and endure the vicissitudes of life you must have the ability to tap into the source of all power, God almighty. He has placed inside of each of us a cache of resiliency and omnipotence that is meant to be summoned to rebuke whatever tempest may come your way. In order to fathom the implications of Divine power, you must be cognizant of its source. Ignorance of the source precludes the possibility of a person possessing this majestic gift. Some readers of this article may infer that I speak of the comforter or the Holy Ghost and you would be right. This is the gift that Jesus promised his disciples and which was bestowed upon them on the Day of Pentecost. The twelve disciples then went out throughout Judea and other areas and performing miracles. These miracles are chronicled in the bible throughout the book of acts. Fast forward to 2007, when our world is marred by never ending conflict and depravity and you will see miracle still being performed. In order to navigate the worlds current state it is imperative that you are covered by gods grace. His grace is sufficient enough to do all things. Remember when Jesus and his disciples where out at sea and became trapped in the perfect storm? Jesus was asleep in the front of the boat and his disciples woke hi up screaming, Lord save us! Were going to drown! (Matt 8:25) Jesus replied, You of little faith, why are you so afraid? (Matt. 8:25) Jesus was ultimately upset because they already had the power to rebuke the waves, but in the end he had to do it. When Jesus walked on water in order to surprise his disciples, who were out to sea, they were astonished. He then beckoned for Peter to join him; he acquiesced and began to walk on water for a few feet, but when he lost his faith, as he was about to fall into the father, Jesus immediately reached out his hand, caught him and exclaimed, You of little faith, why did you doubt? This example informs us that you dont have to panic in the midst of whatever tempest may come your way. All that you have to do is to tap into the source of your power. Look to heaven for a solution and technically you can never go wrong. Remember you have the power! Copyright Matthew Lynch |
