Words Spoken in Secret: But Lord Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs, the autumn rains also cover it with pools. They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion. Psalm 84:5-7 NIVBut Lord, Im tired and weary in this journey. You are blessed and favored, loved and forgiven. Go in the strength I give you. But Lord, the journey is difficult, the path is too long. Im traveling through a dry and dusty desert and Im thirsty and footsore. Even as you pass through the Valley of Baca, the valley of misery and tears, I will go with you and transform it into a place of abundant springs and living water. I will send the rain of my Holy Spirit and cover the ground with pools of abundance for you to share with other travelers. Dig down deep into my Word and the springs will bubble up before you and in you. You will never lack. These living springs change darkness into light, anxiety into peace, and hatred into love. They transform every situation. But Lord, Im weak. My strength is made perfect in weakness. You + me = enough. Find your strength in me. You will go from strength to strength for the duration of your life until you finish your pilgrimage and stand before me in my kingdom. I knowI am your future. But Lord, the road is too long. Start with a single baby step. But Lord, how do I take the first step? Set your heart. Determine that for this day you will live with your focus on me and my plan for your life. Let your life be a pilgrimage through the hills and valleys, the good times and the bad. In the setting of your heart you will find the strength you need. You will find the springs of water. You will find the joy that makes life worth living. But Lord, what if I fail? Then tomorrow, set your heart again. I will not condemn you. Instead Ill forgive you and help you start again. Its never too late. Nothing is impossible. I love you. Ill never leave you. Copyright Candace Simar |
