Get to Know Bay & Peg Forrest

After 29 years of marriage and more than 20 years ministering together, Bay and Peg Forrest enjoy the opportunities and opened doors the Lord has provided during this stage of their lives. Now "empty nesters" they can go places they couldn't have in the past, providing a new dimension to their ministry. Girl from RVA

Though even ten years ago, you'd never have convinced Peg she'd ever be speaking to a small group, let alone hundreds at times--God has seen fit to "enlarge her territories" to have a greater realm of influence for Him alongside her husband. Being a team has allowed them to meet the needs of a wider audience. They've enjoyed speaking to adults, leading marriage seminars and sharing hints on parenting. A particular highlight for Bay and Peg has been to split up young men and women in junior high, senior high and college settings to discuss gender related subject. It's often difficult for male itinerants to lay things out straight for young women, but God has given Peg a passion and a desire to discuss God's way of "doing relationships" right and what it means to live a life of purity. Over and over in these settings they are hearing comments like:

"These are messages we need to hear. Thank you for sharing what you did--so bluntly and honestly, but with so much heart. Please keep doing what you're doing!"

"We've tried talking to our kids about these subjects, but it's difficult to do in mixed groups. Thanks for telling them what we've wanted to be able to say, but couldn't."

Forrests with students"It's so nice to have a woman to share with us girls. We always have men come to our school for Spiritual Emphasis Week, but never get to hear a woman's perspective."

Bay's passion is to clearly explain the gospel message to audiences of all ages. The more he shares, the more convinced he is that a large number of church members have head knowledge about Jesus, but not heart knowledge. Therefore, an increasing number of church-goers are heading straight to hell, thinking they're all right. Bay also has a desire to see Christians live a life that is wholly sold out to Jesus Christ. The prophet in Bay compels him to share about Biblical holiness balanced with the love and grace of God.

Peg's passion is to share with women of all ages the amazing gift of a deep, personal, intimate relationship with their Lord. Using everyday, personal experiences and stories, she longs for women to understand that God wants to meet them at every turn of their lives to speak truth to their hearts and walk closely with them. She also loves to walk alongside broken and wounded women, sharing how they can know and find freedom from life's struggles to live a victorious Christian life.Adam and Steph

Bay and Peg have three of their own children and too many others to count (being youth workers and dorm parents over many years, they've collected lots of "adopted" children they love deeply). Stephanie, their oldest daughter, is married to Adam Conway. They live in Montrose, CO with their son, Hayden. Stephanie is Adam and Chera nurse, and Adam is an assistant superintendent on a golf course.

Bay and Peg's middle child and only son, also named Adam, is married to Cherissa Lynn. Adam finished his degree at Grand Canyon University (Phoenix, AZ) in elementary education in December, 2002. Following graduation, he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant of the United States Army.  mandy

Amanda Michelle (Mandy) is a junior at Grand Canyon University and an outstanding volleyball player. As much as possible, Bay and Peg try to be in Phoenix on the weekends she's there to play. Mandy's a communications major with an emphasis in public relations.

When asked about future goals, Bay and Peg laugh. It's been difficult to set goals, they say, because when you're following the Lord, you never know what He has planned for you. Having said they'd never live in Africa as a young married couple, God proved He had other plans and sent them to Kenya for five of the most wonderful years of their lives. Their hearts' desire is to just be where God wants them--right in the center of His will. There is no bigger blessing! Who knows what's around the corner...but it will be amazing!
